Veterans’ session with the public Saturday 4 May 2019
People from Pilsen and the surrounding area came to the Burgher’s House to question the veterans and then obtain autographs. They asked about what it was like to liberate Czechoslovakia from Nazis and one veteran told how horrible it was to liberate a concentration camp - he told the people they must never forget the atrocities of Hitler and his Nazi regime.

Arrival in Pilsen
After a stay in Prague, we arrived in Pilsen today and the WWII veterans are beginning to gather. Dad joined George Thompson and Earl Ingram at El Cid restaurant where the Dalbych family honors the veterans annually with a meal. We had salmon, veal, delicious appetizers and lovely desserts.
Everyone had a lovely time reconnecting.
Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day.
